Otolaryngology refers to the medical and surgical treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, and throat and related head and neck structures. An otolaryngologist is a surgeon trained in otolaryngology and commonly referred to as an ENT Surgeon.

Many patients have difficulties with sleep because of breathing difficulties. Examples can include snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. ENT surgeons are specialist in detecting which patients would benefit from surgery for sleep problems and which patients would be better off with medical treatment including CPAP.

Alberta ENT Consultants are surgeons and doctors who are specialists in the diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of hearing and balance difficulties. We see all types of problems related to the ear and inner ear including dizziness and vertigo, hearing loss and deafness, tinnitus (ear ringing) and ear infections.

Many allergy symptoms can be seen in the ear, nose, and throat. We will work closely with an allergist to help diagnose and manage your allergy symptoms. Examples of ENT related allergy problems include hay fever, seasonal and perennial rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, laryngitis, sore throat, otitis media, dizziness. Alberta ENT Consultants can provide testing, medical therapy, and avoidance measures.

Dr. Andrew Morrissey, MD, FRCSC, has done further training in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. Alberta ENT Consultants can provide a wide range of facial plastic procedures including rhinoplasty (nose job), septoplasty (correction of a deviated nasal septum), rhytidectomy (facelift), and blepharoplasty (eye lifts). We also provide all common and safe medical options including Botox and other fillers.
